Cosmic Charlie's Café is owned and operated by Mariano Salalila. Having been interested in the culinary arts from a young age, Mario sought to pursue a career as an international Chef. For 14 years, he worked as a Chef in various international shipping vessels where he cooked for crews of varying ethnicities and nationalities (and therefore of varying tastes). During his travels with the shipping vessels, Mario was able to study and learn the local cuisine of the places he visited.
Immigrating to Canada in 1995, Mario worked for a few popular Peterborough restaurants before acquiring Cosmic Charlie's Café in 2004. Mario's passion for cooking coupled with the experience he acquired from his travels, allow Mario to put his own twist to Thai and Southeast Asian cuisine that is uniquely Cosmic Charlie's.
